Gall Bladder Diet

Gall bladder is an important organ in your body that stores bile produced by the kidney. Damaged gall bladder could cause diarrhea, nausea and slow digestion. These symptoms could be prevented with the real diet. The gall bladder diet is for people with gall bladder problems, like how the high blood pressure diet is for people with blood pressure problem.

This gall bladder diet consists of:

  1. Eating less meat. And, if you have to eat meat, eat lean meat that is low in fat.
  2. Eating more starchy food (eg. Rice, bread, potatoes, pasta & etc)
  3. Instead of eating raw food, cook them. This helps the food to digest.
  4. Eating more whole-grains, which has a lot of fibre in it which eases digestion.
  5. Eating smaller meals in moderation.
  6. Don’t eat right before you go to bed. Your digestion slows down when you’re asleep.
  7. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
  8. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits.

When you are on the gall bladder diet, don’t try to lose a lot of weight at once. You could lose weight, but do it in moderation. Drastic weight lose is bad for the gall bladder. Also, don’t use any “miracle” weight lost pills, they put huge strains on your gall bladder. Healthy dieting and moderate exercise would work the same, but in a healthier manner.
